Cinedapt Launches Casting Call for Neurodivergent Professionals and Industry Experts

Seeking Software Engineers Diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Other Experienced Professionals for "Computer Silenced"

LOS ANGELES – January 7, 2025 – Cinedapt®, a pioneer in patented, award-winning film technology, is inviting professionals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other industry experts to participate in Computer Silenced, a feature-length documentary that exposes systemic discrimination in tech hiring and employment. The film seeks software engineers with ASD as well as experienced professionals, including hiring managers, licensed psychiatrists, and legal experts, to provide insights into workplace biases and help promote actionable solutions.

Expanding on the 30-minute game show format of Whiteboard Challenge®, Computer Silenced dives deeper into the pervasive biases that prevent neurodivergent professionals from thriving in hiring processes that often fail to assess their true skills and capabilities. The documentary is designed to challenge outdated practices, advocate for inclusive workplace environments, and promote equity for neurodivergent individuals in tech.

    Role: Software Engineer Diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
    Details: Seeking multiple software engineers (9 or more) to share their experiences navigating communication challenges, social interaction difficulties, and sensory sensitivities in tech hiring. Each participant will focus on one of the following topics and scenarios as seen in the Topics for Casting section.

  2. Segment: Homelessness
    Role: Homeless Software Engineer Diagnosed with ASD
    Details: Seeking multiple autistic software engineers (6 or more) who have experienced homelessness to discuss employment challenges in the tech industry.

  3. Segment: Women in Tech
    Role: Female Software Engineer Diagnosed with ASD
    Details: Seeking multiple autistic female software engineers (6 or more) to share insights on navigating the tech industry as a neurodivergent woman.

  4. Segment: Ageism in Tech
    Role: Experienced Software Engineer Diagnosed with ASD
    Details: Seeking multiple autistic seasoned software engineers (6 or more) to discuss age-related challenges and biases in tech hiring.

  5. Segment: Cultural Fit
    Role: Licensed Psychiatrist
    Details: Seeking multiple licensed psychiatrists (3 or more) to provide expert commentary on the concept of "Cultural Fit" and its impact on neurodivergent individuals in the workplace.

  6. Segment: Disability Disclosure and Reasonable Accommodations
    Role: Employment Discrimination Attorney
    Details: Seeking multiple attorneys (3 or more) specializing in employment discrimination to discuss the legal aspects of Disability Disclosure and Reasonable Accommodations for neurodivergent employees.

  7. Segment: Employment Discrimination
    Role: Hiring Manager
    Details: Seeking multiple hiring managers (3 or more) to offer insights on hiring practices and discuss potential biases affecting neurodivergent candidates.

How to Apply

For software engineers diagnosed with ASD:
  1. Choose a Scenario: Select a Topic and Scenario from the "Topics for Casting" section that best reflects your experience.
  2. Submit a Video: Record a 30- to 90-second video (16:9 aspect ratio) describing your experience related to the chosen scenario.
  3. Complete the Submission Form: Sign and complete the required submission form to finalize your participation.
